The brown pelican is a non-migratory bird that makes its home around shallow waters of the America's Atlantic, Gulf and Pacific coasts.

The most rewarding part of participating in this program was being able to immerse myself in this exciting and educational environment. It was extremely special to be a part of something that gives teachers a once-in-a-lifetime experience that they can use to educate students and inspire the next generation. The green moray eel is one species out of over 800 other species of eels and they belongs to an order of fish called Anguilliformes.

Tiger Shark (Galeocerda cuvier)

The tiger shark is mainly a solitary animal found in tropical and temperate waters and is identifiable by the dark stripes running down their bodies.

Learning (& Teaching) Photogrammetry with ANGARI Foundation

In 2021, I worked as both a remote and in-person intern with ANGARI Foundation supporting ocean education projects. During this time, COVID-19 prevented us from meeting with students in person, and we transitioned our outreach from in-person classroom visits to online lessons and webinars with ANGARI’s partner scientists.

The Atlantic blue marlin is a fish with an unmistakable bill and a high, pointed dorsal fin. They are extremely fast.

The flamingo tongue snail is a few centimeters long but stands out against the sea fan or whip coral it lives on due to its coloring.

The French angelfish can be found on coral reefs around the Caribbean and as far as New York, Brazil, the Gulf Coast and eastern Atlantic at Ascension Island and St. Paul’s Rocks.
