Chamber of Commerce of the Palm Beaches Recognizes ANGARI as Finalist for Non Profit of the Year

On May 23, 2024 hundreds of guests gathered at the Palm Beach County Convention Center for the Chamber of the Palm Beaches’ 2024 Annual Business Awards Breakfast. Angela Rosenberg and Laura Jessop of ANGARI Foundation were among them. During the breakfast, the Chamber recognized finalists from six categories, and awarded seven Palm Beach County individuals and businesses as the 2024 winners.

ANGARI Foundation was honored to be one of four finalists up for Non Profit of the Year. As described by the Chamber,

The ANGARI Foundation is recognized for its outstanding commitment to marine research, education, and conservation. Established in 2016, the foundation, led by President Angela Rosenberg, aims to support marine scientists, educate students, and engage the community in advancing ocean science and sustainability.

Its achievements include receiving prestigious awards like the Hero of the Environment Award and Environmental Steward of the Year. ANGARI has completed numerous research expeditions, educational programs, and citizen science initiatives, involving thousands of participants. Through youth science-at-sea programs, educational films, and partnerships with institutions like the University of Florida, ANGARI promotes marine science awareness and stewardship globally. Overall, the foundation’s holistic approach has made it a prominent advocate for ocean conservation and scientific literacy.

While ANGARI Foundation did not win this year’s Non Profit of the Year award, President Angela Rosenberg described the honor, “Thank you to the Chamber and greater Palm Beach County Community. We’re proud to be part of such an amazing group of businesses and individuals, and extend a huge congratulations to all the awardees!”
