Using GPS-Enabled Drifters in the Lake Worth Lagoon!

Every week as an ANGARI Foundation intern looked a little different, which made this experience all the more exciting and rewarding. What I loved most was getting to contribute to an initiative that already plays such a meaningful role in understanding and protecting our local waterways. It really felt like I was contributing to research that could help support future Lagoon Drift studies and improve our understanding of marine debris transport in the Lake Worth Lagoon.

The most rewarding part of participating in this program was being able to immerse myself in this exciting and educational environment. Working and Living Aboard a Research Vessel

If I could give any advice to future interns, it would be to work hard on the boat, stay organized, and remember what Kevin teaches you! Working with ANGARI to execute an Ocean Expert Exchange was a rewarding experience. I am thankful to now have the experience of promoting an event from start to finish under my belt.
