JOB OPPORTUNITIES
RESEARCH VESSEL MATE (NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA)
We are seeking a full-time contractor crew member who will fulfill mate, deck, maintenance and engineering duties onboard the Foundation’s 65-foot vessel R/V ANGARI. The vessel is designated an oceanographic research vessel by the U.S. Coast Guard and is equipped with indoor and outdoor laboratory and workspaces, a dive center, updated navigation electronics and safety equipment and accommodations for up to 7 scientists plus crew. The vessel is available for day and overnight charter to scientists, filmmakers and educators for expeditions. R/V ANGARI supports the Foundation’s hands-on education programs, which includes daylong expeditions with middle and high school students onboard throughout the year. The crew member will be an integral part of daily operations onboard the vessel and work under the supervision of ANGARI Foundation’s President and Captain and the vessel’s Relief Captain and Engineer.

PAID INTERNSHIP (SPRING, SUMMER & FALL TERMS)
Our paid internships are for current college students and graduates who are passionate about marine science and the ocean and want to share their passion with others. Interns receive hands-on experience in youth STEM education, educator professional development, citizen science, community outreach, research vessel operations, digital media & marketing, science communications, photography, filmmaking and/or nonprofit and business administration. ANGARI interns work closely with our employees to gain hands-on experience and become an integral part of the ANGARI team during their internships. Paid internships are in-person only and require working out of ANGARI’s offices located in West Palm Beach, Florida.
Our interns are expected to commit to a 3- or 4-month internship depending on time of year (see below) and work on site ~20 hours per week, plus occasional evenings or weekends. Interns receive a monthly stipend of $1,000. Accommodations are not provided except for when traveling aboard our research vessel. We are interested in all qualified candidates but can only consider those candidates who have valid authorization to work in the United States.

Note: Individual internship start dates within the start month may vary based on an intern’s availability. Exact start date will be confirmed during the interview process.
REMOTE INTERNSHIP (ROLLING)
We accept remote intern applications on a rolling basis for current college students and graduates who are committed to marine science research and education and ready to put their knowledge and skills towards our nonprofit mission. Based on availability and timing, remote interns may gain broad experience in nonprofit administration, development and fundraising, project management and program coordination, logistics, event planning, public relations, social media, website design, SEO, advertising, film editing, STEM education, citizen science and community outreach. Remote interns are unpaid but may receive course credit if set up through their university.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
If you would like to volunteer with ANGARI Foundation, please contact us with your interests and availability. We are especially in need of support from those who have experience or interest in community outreach and event planning, development and fundraising, public relations, digital media, graphic design, marketing and advertising, drone photography and videography and citizen science projects.
We are also interested in teaming up with small boat owners who would like to donate their time and their boat to use in support of local research projects.
