JOB OPPORTUNITIES

PROGRAM COORDINATOR (WEST PALM BEACH, FLORIDA)
We are seeking a full-time program coordinator to manage, coordinate and oversee the Foundation’s flagship hands-on marine science education program Coastal Ocean Explorers (COE). The COE Program Coordinator will be an articulate, organized and motivated team player who is responsible for logistical planning and “boots on the ground” execution of impactful education programs and outreach events, as well as leading digital marketing for such programs and events. The COE Program Coordinator will be an integral part of the ANGARI team and will participate in and attend community events, conferences and fundraising meetings on behalf of the Foundation in order to support and communicate the Foundation’s goals and key messages. While we are interested in all qualified candidates, we can only consider those candidates who are U.S. citizens.

PAID INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES (WEST PALM BEACH, FLORIDA)
Our paid internships are for college students and recent graduates who are passionate about marine science and the ocean and want to share their passion with others. Interns receive hands-on experience in youth STEM education, educator professional development, citizen science, community outreach, research vessel operations, digital media & marketing, science communications, photography, filmmaking and/or nonprofit and business administration. ANGARI interns work closely with our employees to gain hands-on experience and become an integral part of the ANGARI team during their internships.

Our interns are expected to commit to a 3- or 4-month internship depending on time of year (see below) and work on site ~20 hours per week, plus occasional evenings or weekends. Interns receive a monthly stipend of $1,000. Accommodations are not provided except for when traveling aboard our research vessel. We are interested in all qualified candidates but can only consider those candidates who have valid authorization to work in the United States.

SPRING INTERNSHIPS (4-MONTH):  JANUARY – MAY; APPLY BY NOVEMBER 1
SUMMER INTERNSHIPS (3-MONTH):  MAY – AUGUST; APPLY BY MARCH 1
FALL INTERNSHIPS (4-MONTH): AUGUST – DECEMBER; APPLY BY JUNE 1

Note: Individual internship start dates within the start month may vary based on an intern’s availability. Exact start date will be confirmed during the interview process.


REMOTE INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
We accept remote intern applications on a rolling basis for college students and recent graduates who are committed to marine science research and education and ready to put their knowledge and skills towards our nonprofit mission. Based on availability and timing, remote interns may gain broad experience in nonprofit administration, development and fundraising, project management and program coordination, logistics, event planning, public relations, social media, website design, SEO, advertising, film editing, STEM education, citizen science and community outreach. Remote interns are unpaid but may receive course credit if set up through their university.

– organized, detail-oriented and able to multitask
– excellent communicators
– team players who value team success as much as their own
– honest and transparent
– flexible and demonstrate willingness and ability to readily respond to changing circumstances and priorities
– ready to learn, be challenged and push themselves outside their comfort zones
– fluent in English
– able to dedicate a minimum of 10 hours/week to ANGARI projects and tasks

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
If you would like to volunteer with ANGARI Foundation, please contact us with your interests and availability. We are especially in need of support from those who have experience or interest in community outreach and event planning, development and fundraising, public relations, digital media, graphic design, marketing and advertising, drone photography and videography and citizen science projects.

We are also interested in teaming up with small boat owners who would like to donate their time and their boat to use in support of local research projects.
