ANGARI Foundation Participates in 2026 Great Charity Challenge
Wellington, Florida (January 31, 2026) ─ The 17th Annual Great Charity Challenge presented by Fidelity Investments was a memorable one for equestrian and nonprofit communities, including ANGARI Foundation. The event raised and distributed more than $2.3 million at the “Saturday Night Lights” event at Wellington International. During the competition, 36 teams of three costume-clad riders and horses participated in a relay-style show jumping course to earn funds for Palm Beach County nonprofit organizations with which they had been randomly paired. The teams were made up of riders with varying levels of experience, from Olympians to up-and-coming young riders, the youngest of which was just nine years of age!

The 2026 event theme was “Rhyme Without Reason” and the riders representing ANGARI Foundation turned out as pajamas, banana and Princess Diana. They placed 30th in the competition, earning ANGARI Foundation $19,000 in grant funding that will go directly towards the Foundation’s marine science educational efforts in Palm Beach County, including those associated with their Coastal Ocean Explorers: Sharks, Lagoon Drift and Generation Ocean programs. Dozens of ANGARI personnel, donors, sponsors, volunteers, engaged educators and other supporters braved the chilly temperatures to cheer on ANGARI’s equestrian team and all those who were part of this incredible evening. In addition to their riders and horses, ANGARI is particularly grateful for their Team Sponsor Bird Ranch Sporthorses and Supporting Sponsors Dana Murphy and Keller Williams Wellington, whose commitments to the sport and philanthropy made ANGARI’s engagement in this program possible.

Since its founding in 2009, the Great Charity Challenge has distributed more than $24 million to 370 local nonprofits. This is the second year ANGARI Foundation has been paired with an equestrian team for the competition, with the first being in 2023. During the 2026 event, all participating nonprofit organizations received a minimum grant of $15,000, making everyone a winner and benefiting individuals across Palm Beach County served by these organizations.
